FEATURE FILM SHOWCASES 2017 KRESGE ARTIST FELLOWS
The first feature-length film from Kresge Arts in Detroit documents and uplifts the creative practices and critical perspectives of the 2017 Kresge Artist Fellows
“Every Given Second,” created by Detroit filmmakers The Right Brothers, features never before seen footage and interviews with 18 metro Detroit artists who were awarded Kresge Artist Fellowships in the literary and visual arts.
“Every Given Second” was first screened on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at an event at Trinosophes in Detroit. The event featured remarks from two 2017 fellowship panelists (Jorge Rojas, Director of Education and Engagement at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, who served on the visual arts fellowship panel, and Janet Webster Jones, owner and operator of Source Booksellers in Detroit, who served on the literary arts panel), as well as entertainment from 2016 Kresge Artist Fellow, Sterling Toles.
