Donald Calloway

Painter and sculptural artist, Donald Calloway has been essential in Detroit’s art community for more than thirty years. He recognized his passion for the arts from childhood and has been solely dedicated ever since. Calloway honed his technical skills at College for Creative Studies, but was forced to leave before graduation to help provide for his mother and sisters after the passing of father in 1983. He went on to grow a successful practice at the Greektown Lofts, where his studio remained until 2023 and currently cultivates a show-house, studio, and sculpture garden on Detroit’s West Grand Boulevard. Calloway’s signature styles have become known and beloved throughout the city of Detroit and beyond.
