Louis Aguilar

At age 16, Louis Aguilar was declared “incorrigible” by the nuns at St. Hedwig High. Mr. Aguilar has eagerly tried to live up to the title. He is an award-winning reporter and author. Aguilar briefly ran Cruzando Fronteras film fest in Washington, D.C. and curated Latino programming at the Smithsonian Institution. Since 2004, he has reported on the epic nature of his hometown Detroit for various media. It is family lore that his abuelo (grandfather) is featured prominently in Diego Rivera’s Detroit Industry mural.
