Mack Thorsday
Mack Thorsday was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. They currently work as a poetry instructor at a men’s rehabilitation center in the Cass Corridor and as a social content creator at a digital marketing agency. They have performed in poetry slams locally, regionally, and nationally, placing first in all of their bouts. Thorsday has pending journal submissions, has performed in a national commercial, and has work included in the archives of the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History; but is most often found in local venues, competitions, and national arenas performing their work. Thorsday is the founder of “The Legendary: House_of_Poetry,” a writing collective for youth and advocates of Afro-queer liberation that meets weekly and is open for enrolling new members.
