Taylor Childs
Taylor Childs (b. 1995, Detroit, MI) is a multidisciplinary artist whose textile-based work explores identity, ancestral memory, and the African Diaspora. Rooted in material culture, her vibrant assemblages and experimental fashion reflect Black joy, resilience, struggle, and care. A CCS and Cranbrook alum, she teaches fiber arts in Detroit and directs community programs. Her work has been exhibited regionally and internationally with features in NPR, The Detroit News, and Shinola’s Artist Spotlight.
