Francis Vallejo
Mexican-American artist Francis Vallejo is an associate professor at the College for Creative Studies. He received his BFA from Ringling College of Art and Design and his MA from Savannah College of Art and Design. His work has been featured in major national publications (American Illustration), galleries (Julia C. Butridge Gallery), museums (Anchorage Museum), and commissioned by a host of notable clients (Folio Society). His two books, “Jazz Day” and “Anansi Boys,” have found widespread acclaim. His new project, a zine on his experience in the Alaskan Arctic, seeks to unite Detroit youth to the Alaskan wilderness.
