Rachel Harkai
Rachel Harkai earned an MFA in Writing from the University of Michigan Helen Zell Writers’ Program. A runner-up for the 2016 Discovery/Boston Review Poetry Prize, Harkai was the recipient of four Hopwood Awards for both poetry and nonfiction. As the former host of the Living Writers Show, a literary talk show on WCBN-FM 88.3 Ann Arbor, she has conducted live radio interviews with a wide range of writers, from Jonathan Lethem to Marie Howe to Michelle Orange. Harkai has held residencies with the Hub City Writers Project, Goldwell Open Air Museum, and InsideOut Literary Arts Project. Her work has appeared in Michigan Quarterly Review, Spork, Portland Review, Hotel Amerika, and elsewhere.
