Christopher Jon Alexander
Christopher Jon Alexander is a film director, writer, producer, and performance artist. With the generous aid of his subjects, he creates documentary/fiction hybrids of such disorienting authenticity and moral ambiguity, they demand the audience to question his intent, his ethics, and their own complicity. The cult short he wrote and directed, “A Complicated Cartoon,” won several national awards and was screened at the American Film Institute, San Francisco International Film Festival, and Lincoln Center’s New York Video Festival. He has been commissioned to write, consult, or develop screenplays for Jerome Mongo’s Black America, Derrick May’s The Belleville Three, Debbie Wright – Parliament Funkadelic and Them Boyz: A YBI Story co-written with Skip Mongo.
