Jennifer Harge
Jennifer is a performer, art maker, and educator who utilizes the body to tell stories. She is the founder of Harge Dance Stories, a movement collective that is the artistic home of her research on African-American bodies, social constructs, and experimentation. Jennifer’s installations, exhibitions, and site specific projects have been shown at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Standard ToyKraft (NYC), the Music Hall Center for Performing Arts, Belle Isle Park, and in her grandmother’s basement. She holds a MFA from the University of Iowa (Dean’s Graduate Fellow) and a BFA from the University of Michigan.
