Ayman “Mino” Aboutaleb

Ayman “Mino” Aboutaleb is a multidisciplinary artist in different genres of dance and music. He was born and raised in Detroit and attended Detroit Public Schools, where he began dancing Dabke at the age of nine in his school’s team while learning the culture from his upbringing. In college, he joined a Dabke dance team for four years to refine and build his skills. In 2019, Aboutaleb began teaching Dabke at the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, and founded his own team named Thowra Dabke to help spread his passion and messages through dance. He took online classes from the Caracalla Dance School in Lebanon in 2020. Aboutaleb finally took a leap of faith and became a full time artist in March of 2024. Aboutaleb also performs and teaches Latin dances, mainly salsa and bachata, and plays several types of Arab and Latin drums.
