Ursula Walker

Ursula Walker is a vocalist and lyricist born and raised in Detroit. She has sung professionally since age 11 and made her first television appearance in 1952. Walker has been working on interpreting the Great American Songbook ever since.

In her thousands of performances of hundreds of songs over dozens of albums, Walker tries to share in a deeper way with a community of listeners. She explains, “The voice is something that’s familiar and we all have it inside of us, so it really comes down to getting people to hear the voice in the most meaningful and communicative way possible.”
