Maddie Shubeck

Maddie Shubeck graduated from the College for Creative Studies (CCS) in 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in entertainment arts. While in school, she became infatuated with experimental film and puppetry and began intertwining the two. In 2021, her student film “Strings” was screened in seven film festivals around the world. She also fabricated and performed a piece, “Everything Loose all the Time,” in the 2022 Detroit Puppet Slam hosted by the Detroit Puppet Company. Shubeck continues to create smaller short films that involve puppets, direct music videos for local bands, and keeps an eye out for art galleries that will exhibit her video work.
