Ifayomi Christine
Born and raised in east Detroit, Ifayomi Christine explores ritual and collective memory as tools for cultural preservation and healing within Black communities. The family archivist in her lineage, she holds that memory-keeping is a form of wellness—political, intimate, and integral to survival. She has contributed to the Emmy-winning Senghor Reid documentary, “Make Way For Tomorrow,” and is a Detroit Narrative Agency 2024–2025 Emerging Filmmaker Fellow, creating “Until It Feels Like Worship.” Her work has screened at LACMA, MoCADA, MOCAD, and venues across the US.
