Jeremy Brockman
Jeremy Brockman is an Emmy award-winning filmmaker from Detroit. His work primarily explores the interior lives of Black men, creating a space to show the fullness of their humanity apart from expectation or stereotype. Brockman was awarded an Emmy for the “Lyricist Society,” a short documentary about an alternative music program for young men in Detroit. His narrative short film, “The Cut,” has screened at film festivals across the US and abroad including the Baltimore International Black Film Festival where it won Best Short Film. With his work, Brockman seeks to create images that truthfully represent and inspire his community.
