Lara Sfire
Lara Sfire is an award-winning filmmaker with a focus on female-centered stories. Before receiving an MFA in directing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she spent a decade in independent and commercial films and TV shows, nonprofit PSAs, and directed shorts, music videos, and a TV pilot.
Most recently, Lara owned The Film Lab, a microcinema for film lovers and filmmakers. Currently, she is collaborating on a short documentary with Planned Parenthood and developing a TV pilot, “V in the D,” a dark comedy about a pregnant woman and her imaginary friend, Giney the vagina.
